उत्तरकाण्ड 7.14

हे राम, रमा के प्रिय और दुःख शांत करने वाले, आपकी जय हो! संसार के ताप और भय से व्याकुल इस जन की रक्षा करें।

Victory to Rama, beloved of Lakshmi and reliever of suffering! Protect this person distressed by worldly suffering and fear.

हे अयोध्या के स्वामी, देवताओं के स्वामी, लक्ष्मीपति, सर्वव्यापक प्रभु! शरणागत जन प्रार्थना करता है—मेरी रक्षा करें।

O lord of Ayodhya, lord of the gods, husband of Lakshmi, all-pervading Lord! One who has taken refuge begs: protect me.

आपने दस सिर और बीस भुजाओं वाले रावण का विनाश किया और पृथ्वी की बहुत बड़ी पीड़ा दूर की।

You destroyed Ravana, who had ten heads and twenty arms, and removed the earth’s immense suffering.

राक्षसों के समूह पतंगों के समान थे; आपके बाणों की प्रचंड अग्नि ने उन्हें जला दिया।

The hosts of demons were like moths; the fierce fire of your arrows burned them.

आप पृथ्वीमंडल के अत्यंत सुंदर आभूषण हैं और उत्तम बाण, धनुष तथा तरकश धारण किए हैं।

You are the supremely beautiful ornament of the earth, bearing excellent arrows, bow, and quiver.

मद, मोह और प्रबल ममता की रात के अंधकार-समूह को मिटाने के लिए आप तेजस्वी किरणों वाले सूर्य हैं।

You are the sun with its array of brilliant rays, dispelling the mass of darkness that is the night of arrogance, delusion, and deep possessiveness.

कामदेव रूपी शिकारी ने लोगों रूपी हिरनों के हृदयों में कुत्सित भोगों के बाण मारकर उन्हें गिरा दिया है।

The hunter who is the god of desire has felled people, like deer, by striking their hearts with arrows of debased pleasures.

हे नाथ, हे हरि! उस कामदेव रूपी शिकारी को मारकर इन असहायों की रक्षा करें; ये मूढ़ विषयों के वन में भटक पड़े हैं।

O Lord, O Hari! Slay that hunter of desire and protect these helpless ones; these foolish people have strayed into the forest of sense objects.

लोग अनेक रोगों और वियोगों से पीड़ित हैं; ये आपके चरणों के अनादर के फल हैं।

People are afflicted by many illnesses and separations; these are the fruits of disregarding your feet.

जो आपके चरणकमलों से प्रेम नहीं करते, वे मनुष्य संसार के अथाह समुद्र में पड़े हैं।

Those who do not love your lotus feet lie in the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence.

जिनके मन में आपके चरणकमलों के प्रति प्रेम नहीं है, वे सदा अत्यंत दीन, मलिन और दुःखी रहते हैं।

Those who have no love for your lotus feet remain exceedingly wretched, impure, and unhappy.

जिनका आश्रय आपकी कथा है, उन्हें संत और आप अनंत प्रभु सदा प्रिय हैं।

Those whose support is your story always cherish the saints and you, the infinite Lord.

उनमें आसक्ति, लोभ, अभिमान और मद नहीं हैं; उनके लिए वैभव और विपत्ति समान हैं।

They have no attachment, greed, pride, or arrogance; prosperity and adversity are equal to them.

इसी कारण मुनि योग पर भरोसा छोड़कर सदा आनंदपूर्वक आपके सेवक बनते हैं।

For this reason, sages abandon reliance on yoga and ever joyfully become your servants.

वे प्रेम करते हुए, निरंतर नियम निभाकर, शुद्ध हृदय से आपके चरणकमलों की सेवा करते हैं।

With love and constant observance of their discipline, they serve your lotus feet with pure hearts.

अनादर और आदर को समान मानकर सभी संत पृथ्वी पर सुखपूर्वक विचरते हैं।

Regarding dishonor and honor alike, all the saints wander happily upon the earth.

मैं मुनियों के हृदयकमल के भौंरे, महान रणधीर और अजन्मा रघुवीर का भजन करता हूँ।

I worship Rama, hero of Raghu’s line, the bee of the sages’ heart-lotuses, mighty and steadfast in battle, and unborn.

हे हरि, मैं आपका नाम जपता हूँ और आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ। आप संसार रूपी रोग की महान औषधि और अभिमान के शत्रु हैं।

O Hari, I repeat your name and bow to you. You are the great medicine for the disease of worldly existence and the foe of pride.

मैं गुण, सदाचार और कृपा के परम आश्रय, लक्ष्मी के प्रिय प्रभु को निरंतर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I continually bow to the beloved of Lakshmi, the supreme abode of virtues, noble conduct, and compassion.

हे रघुकुल को आनंद देने वाले राम, द्वंद्वों के घने समूह को नष्ट करें। हे पृथ्वी के पालक, इस दीन जन की ओर देखें।

O Rama, joy of Raghu’s line, destroy the dense mass of conflicting dualities. O protector of the earth, look upon this helpless person.
