उत्तरकाण्ड 7.13

हे सगुण और निर्गुण स्वरूप, अनुपम सुंदरता वाले राजाओं के शिरोमणि, आपकी जय हो।

Victory to you, whose nature is both qualified and unqualified, whose beauty is unequalled, foremost among kings.

आपने रावण आदि प्रचंड, बलवान दुष्ट राक्षसों को अपने भुजबल से मार डाला।

You slew fierce, powerful, wicked demons such as Ravana by the strength of your arms.

मनुष्य रूप में अवतार लेकर आपने संसार का भार दूर किया और भयानक दुःखों को जला डाला।

Taking human incarnation, you removed the world's burden and burned away its terrible sorrows.

शरणागतों के पालक, दयालु प्रभु, आपकी जय हो; शक्ति सहित आपको हम प्रणाम करते हैं।

Victory to you, compassionate Lord and protector of those who seek refuge; we bow to you together with your Shakti.

आपकी दुर्जेय माया के वश में देवता, असुर, नाग, मनुष्य और सभी स्थावर-जंगम जीव अभिभूत हैं।

Under your formidable Maya, gods, demons, serpents, humans, and all stationary and moving beings are overwhelmed.

वे काल, कर्म और गुणों से ग्रस्त होकर संसार के मार्ग में अनगिनत दिन-रात भटकते हैं।

Beset by time, karma, and the qualities of nature, they wander the path of worldly existence for countless days and nights.

हे नाथ, जिन पर आपने करुणापूर्वक दृष्टि डाली, वे तीन प्रकार के दुःखों से मुक्त हो गए।

O Lord, those upon whom you looked with compassion were freed from the three kinds of suffering.

संसार के क्लेश मिटाने में समर्थ राम, हमारी रक्षा कीजिए; हम आपको प्रणाम करते हैं।

Rama, able to cut away the distress of worldly existence, protect us; we bow to you.

जो ज्ञान के अभिमान में मतवाले होकर आपकी संसार-बंधन हरने वाली भक्ति का आदर नहीं करते,

Those intoxicated with pride in knowledge who do not cherish devotion to you, which removes worldly bondage—

हे हरि, उन्हें देवताओं के लिए भी दुर्लभ पद पाकर उससे गिरते हुए हम देखते हैं।

O Hari, we see them fall even from a station difficult for the gods to attain.

जो आप पर विश्वास करके अन्य सभी आशाएँ छोड़ आपके सेवक बने रहते हैं,

Those who trust in you, abandon all other hopes, and remain your servants—

वे आपका नाम जपकर बिना परिश्रम संसार से तर जाते हैं; हे नाथ, हम आपका स्मरण करते हैं।

Chanting your name, they cross worldly existence without toil; O Lord, we remember you.

जिन चरणों को शिव और ब्रह्मा पूजते हैं, जिनकी शुभ धूल के स्पर्श से मुनि-पत्नी अहल्या तर गईं,

Those feet worshipped by Shiva and Brahma, whose auspicious dust delivered the sage's wife Ahalya by its touch—

जिनके नख से निकली गंगा मुनियों द्वारा वंदित और तीनों लोकों को पवित्र करने वाली है,

From whose toenail emerged the Ganges, revered by sages and purifier of the three worlds—

जो ध्वजा, वज्र, अंकुश और कमल के चिह्नों से युक्त हैं और जिन्होंने वन में घूमते समय काँटों की चोट सही,

Bearing the marks of a flag, thunderbolt, goad, and lotus, those feet suffered thorns while roaming the forest—

मुक्तिदाता, लक्ष्मीपति राम के उन दोनों कमल-चरणों का हम नित्य भजन करते हैं।

We ever worship that pair of lotus feet of Rama, giver of liberation and Lord of Lakshmi.

वेद और आगम संसार को ऐसा अनादि वृक्ष कहते हैं जिसकी जड़ अव्यक्त है और छाल चार हैं।

The Vedas and Agamas describe an beginningless tree whose root is the unmanifest and whose bark has four layers.

उसके छह तने, पच्चीस शाखाएँ और अनेक पत्ते तथा घने फूल हैं।

It has six trunks, twenty-five branches, many leaves, and abundant flowers.

उसके फल दो प्रकार के, कड़वे और मीठे हैं; एक बेल उसके आश्रय में रहती है।

Its fruits are of two kinds, bitter and sweet; a single vine rests upon it.

नित्य नए पत्तों और फूलों से विकसित होने वाले उस संसार-वृक्ष रूप आपको हम प्रणाम करते हैं।

We bow to you as that tree of worldly existence, ever putting forth fresh leaves and flowers.

जो अजन्मे, अद्वैत, अनुभव से जानने योग्य और मन से परे ब्रह्म का ध्यान करते हैं,

Those who meditate on Brahman as unborn, nondual, accessible through direct experience, and beyond the mind—

वे ऐसा कहें और जानें; हे नाथ, हम तो नित्य आपके सगुण स्वरूप का यश गाते हैं।

Let them speak of and know it thus; O Lord, we ever sing the glory of your manifest form.

करुणा के धाम, सद्गुणों के भंडार प्रभु, हे देव, हम यह वर माँगते हैं।

O Lord, abode of compassion and treasury of virtues, we ask this boon.

मन, वचन और कर्म के विकार छोड़कर हम आपके चरणों से प्रेम करें।

May we abandon impurities of thought, speech, and action and love your feet.

सबके सामने वेदों ने उदात्त विनती की।

Before everyone, the personified Vedas offered a noble supplication.

फिर वे अंतर्धान होकर ब्रह्मा के धाम चले गए।

Then they vanished and went to Brahma's abode.

हे गरुड़, सुनो: तब शिव वहाँ आए जहाँ रघुवीर राम थे।

Listen, Garuda: then Shiva came to where Rama, hero of Raghu's lineage, was.

शिव भाव से रुंधी वाणी में विनती करने लगे; उनका शरीर रोमांच से भर गया था।

Shiva offered supplication in a voice choked with emotion, his body covered in thrilled goosebumps.
