अत्यंत पवित्र अयोध्या नगरी और कलियुग के पापों को नष्ट करने वाली सरयू नदी को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I bow to the most holy city of Ayodhya and to the Sarayu River, which destroys the sins of the Kali age.

फिर मैं उस नगरी के पुरुषों और स्त्रियों को प्रणाम करता हूँ, जिनके प्रति प्रभु का स्नेह थोड़ा नहीं, बहुत है।

Next I bow to the men and women of that city, for whom the Lord has no little affection.

प्रभु ने सीता के निंदकों के पापों के समूह नष्ट किए और उन्हें शोकहीन बनाकर अपने लोक में बसाया।

The Lord destroyed the accumulated sins of Sita’s detractors and, making them free from sorrow, settled them in his realm.

मैं पूर्व दिशा के समान कौसल्या को प्रणाम करता हूँ, जिनकी कीर्ति सारे जगत में फैल गई है।

I bow to Kausalya, likened to the eastern direction, whose fame has spread throughout the world.

उसी पूर्व दिशा में सुंदर चंद्रमा रूप रघुपति प्रकट हुए, जो संसार को सुख देने वाले और दुष्ट रूप कमलों के लिए पाले के समान हैं।

There appeared Rama, lord of the Raghu lineage, as a beautiful moon: bringing joy to the world and acting like frost upon the lotus-like wicked.
